At the end of September, the Donite Plastics team packed up the exhibition stand and made the journey from Belfast to Birmingham to exhibit at the first in-person event in almost two years – Interplas UK.
Held in the NEC in Birmingham, Interplas UK is the biggest plastics industry event in the UK and provides a great opportunity for networking as well as attending conferences and viewing demonstrations of some of the sector’s latest machinery.
Reflecting on the event, Stephen Kissick, Business Development Manager at Donite Plastics said: “The team and I were so glad to be back at Interplas UK in person again, it was such a great event! There’s nothing quite like being able to walk around the stands, watch demonstrations and catch up with industry colleagues, suppliers and customers face-to-face.
“We also saw some innovative pieces of machinery and got the chance to speak with our colleagues about the changes that are to come for the sector.
“Most notably, we found the collaborative robots that were on display extremely interesting. It was very thought provoking to see how they could safely and flexibly integrate into a range of manufacturing tasks.
“The team also got the opportunity to attend some of the shows that took place as part of the exhibitions. The PPMA show focused on industrial packaging solutions including end of line packaging and print packaging. This sparked some good discussions with some machine manufacturers who were interested in finding out more about plastics components.
“We’re counting down the days until the next Interplas UK already!”
